You're clearly here because something has gone wrong, so first off, we're sorry to hear that.
If you can take a moment to tell us what the trouble is we'll get back to you as soon as we can (we're a small team and still in beta so please bear with us). Below we also pasted in answers to a few questions we often get.
Thanks for taking the time to write!
What is ih8exercise?
We're a new site (and brand) that wants to reach everyone who doesn't like to exercise to help teach them how to do so in a way that's simple, beautiful, fun, engaging, as safe as possible, and effective, so they see the results they're looking for--namely better health and improved fitness--as soon as possible.
We want to turn more exercise haters into exercise lovers. And we want to tap into the knowledge of people who like to exercise and that of fitness and health experts to share the best evidence-based advice.
How do you make money?
Right now we're a pretty simple beta/proof-of-concept site that's attempting to find, reach, and build our audience, tweaking ih8exercise as we go so we're sure we're delivering what our exercise haters really want and need, as well as surprises we think they'll love.
In the coming months we'll add advertising, and we've got some other business models in the works as well. Because we want to reach as many people as possible, we want to be able to keep the site free for everyone and add more features (including customization and integration with other functionality, like an app and a self-tracking device) as we grow.
We are also a "double bottom line" company, which means that money isn't the only, or even the most important, way we define success. There are approximately 235 million adults in the U.S., and about 80 percent of these (some 188 million) don't get the minimum amount of exercise recommended by the federal government. Right now, in addition to becoming financially sustainable as a business (we do need to eat and keep a roof over our heads) we hope to get 19 million American adults (or 10 percent of that number who don't regularly exercise) to start. From there, we believe those 19 million "lovers" can help transform the U.S. and beyond. Though we're starting in the U.S., we hope this will be a global movement.
How can I get involved?
We'd love to hear from you, whether you're looking to explore a partnership, get a job or an internship, share some feedback, say hello, or share anything else that's on your mind. Please use our Contact Us page or just drop us an email at email@example.com.
