If you hate to exercise the last thing you want to do are exercises that are 1) boring and 2) don't really do much for you. That's why we're asking some top trainers and coaches to share their absolute favorite move ever (or the one they're just really digging right now).
Sara Haley is a fitness consultant and the creator of "Expecting More®: Sara Haley’s Pregnancy Workout Program" and "Sweat UNLIMITED.
Name of Move: In-Outs
"It’s really hard to truly work your inner thighs and this exercise does it!" says Sara. "You will feel this as you are doing it and even more the next day!" For best results, Sara advises using the Ultraslide slideboard; however, you can reproduce the same exercise by putting a small towel under each foot and standing on a wood floor.
How to Do It
Stand with your feet together and knees slightly bent. Rotate out from the hips so the toes are turned out slightly (similar to a ballet first position).
Using your inner thighs, slowly push out so the legs are about shoulder- to hip-width apart and your knees deepen a bit into a small squat.
Rotate the hips back to parallel, keeping the knees bent.
Squeezing your butt and inner thighs together, bring your legs and feet back together.
Repeat the exercise 10 to 15 times. You can begin to slightly increase the distance you spread your legs to increase the intensity. Work up to doing 3 sets.
If you have balance issues you can hold onto a body bar or chair in front of you. If you are on the Ultraslide, make sure the body bar/chair is on the floor and not the Ultraslide.
